چکیده

In previous work it has been shown that the traditional approach to transport phenomena in bipolar semiconductors is inconsistent. In particular, the effect of non-equilibrium charge carriers and appropriate boundary conditions are not considered in the literature. We have proposed an alternative for linear transport but some effects due to the relationship between the fluctuations in the densities of charge carriers and the temperature gradients were not discussed. Here, we continue our criticism to the conventional treatment and extend the previous model to discuss transport phenomena in a linear approximation and boundary conditions as applied to plane interfaces. By the first time charge carriers out of equilibrium, temperature fields, surface and bulk recombination processes, space charge distribution, etc. are undertaken self-consistently. Our model is contrasted with recent experimental results on the Seebeck coefficient of Cd, -JnxTe. O 2005 Elsevier Ltd. Al1 rights reserved.

Field Dependent Charge Carrier Transport for Organic Semiconductors at the Time of Flight Configuration

In this paper, we used the time-of-flight (TOF) of a charge packet, that injected by a voltage pulse to calculate the drift velocity and mobility of holes in organic semiconducting polymers. The technique consists in applying a voltage to the anode and calculating the time delay in the appearance of the injected carriers at the other contact. The method is a simple way to determine the charge t...

Caristi Type Cyclic Contraction and Coupled Fixed Point Results in Bipolar Metric Spaces

In this paper, we establish the existence of common coupled fixed point results for new Caristi type contraction of three covariant mappings in Bipolar metric spaces. Some interesting consequences of our results are achieved. Moreover, we give an illustration which presents the applicability of the achieved results.

Bias-dependent Peltier coefficient and internal cooling in bipolar devices

The work described here is an investigation of thermoelectric phenomena in bipolar semiconductors and p-n junctions. In contrast to majority-carrier semiconductors in which a constant material-dependent Peltier coefficient is defined for a given temperature, bipolar devices can be modeled by introducing a bias-dependent Peltier coefficient at interfaces that takes into account the variation of ...

On new types of contraction mappings in bipolar metric spaces and applications

Our aim is to present some common fixed point theorems in bipolar metric spaces via certain contractive conditions. Some  examples have been provided to illustrate the effectiveness of new results. At the end, we give two applications dealing with homotopy theory and integral equations.

Investigation of resistive switching in anodized titanium dioxide thin films

In this work, TiO2 nanostructures were grown on titanium thin films by electrochemical anodizing method. The bipolar resistive switching effect has been observed in Pt/TiO2/Ti device. Resistive switching characteristics indicated the TiO2 nanotubes are one of the potential materials for nonvolatile memory applications.  Increasing anodizing duration will increase nanotube lengths which itself c...
